FOMA is a data communication module it is provided by DoCoMo so any one have abrief understand for this
 

What is FOMA?
FOMA (freedom of multimedia access) is NTT DoCoMo’s 3G mobile service for voice and high-speed data communications. It provides a maximum downlink speed of 384 kbps, which is 40 times faster than conventional wireless data communications. FOMA delivers high-quality video as well as enhanced voice clarity and enables users to connect anywhere and at anytime.
From initial installation points in the Tokyo area and parts of Yokohama and Kawasaki, NTT DoCoMo is steadily expanding the FOMA network throughout Japan.
