how extract features from shape contour(fourier descriptor)

hi evryone
i have a data base with some shape(like leaf,flowers,...)
first i got contour of them then
i want to get features with Fourier Descriptor
THEN
r=
√(i²+j²);
then
remake shapes with all r
and
remake the shapes with some of r
--
how can i do these:!:
