Hi Guys
I am just wondering how stencil works?
It looks like stencil is a mask with holes at solder pads(correct me if I am wrong).
1. So after you get your PCB and stencil, you will put the stencil on top of your PCB, then put solders on the pad.
2. you better not put too much solder on the pads, because after melt, it might expand. But you also need enough solder, otherwise the connection will be susceptible.
3. After than, you will remove the stencil and put the discrete compoents on the PCB board and then bake the PCB with the discrete components to melt the solders to connect the discrete compoents on the PCB board.
Can anyone comments on if I am right on this? Please feel free to correct any possible conceipt errors in my description.
Thanks,
