Hi

Would like some in detailed ideas on the locked in amplifier. i have a rough idea on the workings of the locked in amplifier, ie mixing of the local oscillator with the return signal to retrieve the signal of interest.

I am rather more interested in some detail operation of the locked in amplifier. I am working on some interferometry device. I am just wondering what is the minimum sampling time for each sample point on my specimen. The minimum dwell time(or sampling time) I should use should be equal or greater than my local oscillator vibrating time, is that correct?

is there any book or reference on the construction and usage of the locked in amplifier

Thanks a lot!
