Hi everyone...
How do we decide the thickness of trace to be used for a signal.Say for example we are considering the current flowing through the trace.Any formula ?

Also Does larger width of trace improve signal quality for higher speed signals?
Thanks

Re: Trace width

Larger trace width will reduce the effect of skineffect loss for high-frequeny signals.

in High speed signals its not straight forward but,you should care about matching impedance as this high speed trace works as microstrip line
know the required impedance & use microstrip calculators which is available online to determine the required width
