HI All:
I am a student. I am very interesting in FPGA.
I want to use QuartusII. But I don't know how to start.
If you can recommand any good books,or send some
databook about QuatrusII. Plesase send it to my E-mail:

Thank you for your help.

Best Regards
Bear :)

From what i remember it the Web version comes with a tutorial. Its a great source to get-up-and-running. Install the software and then look for the tutorial in the help menu.

Hi,

As Kermit76 said try with online hep, it is usually very good.
Anyway with google you will also find a lot of tutorials and applications.

Bye

You should not focus on the tools at begining.
It is not a good idea.
I think you can study some free ip core at begining.
It is more important to get a global view, how to design a circuit using hdl,
how to synthesis it, how to map it to target device, how to verify it in fuction simulation, gate simulation & post simulation.

hai leon,

is there any book or material do u have
for u said like that

I have to say that there is no a book which include all the issues.
You should read a verilog or vhdl handbook at first.
And run some example on simulation to see how the hdl works.
After that you can selecet some synthesisable IP core form web, implement it using Quartus or ISE.
Xilinx's manul is very good.

www.fpga.com.cn
this is a good chinese site for fpga newbies, and many related doc and urls there.
I think altera is good for newbies of fpga and Xlinx is good for expert.

btw, i think , at first u should use maxplusII of altera and then it's easy for using Quartus

The attached file is the tutor for QuartusII .

The attached file is simplified chinese.

u can see online tutorial of software,it is ok

For FPGA Beginners

I think you should first read a little about FPGAs and then also try to work with Xilinx Foundation Series software......the dicumenation that comes along with this software is very good indeed and will definitly help u alot in learning more about FPGAs.

Also check out the E-Book section to download some tutorials or books on Verilog HDL and VHDL
