how can I get LEF file from GDSII file

I have to use LEF file in Encounter, but I only have GDSII file, how can I transfer GDSII to LEF??

I think Nano Encounter from Cadence can do this...

First read in the GDS,
then write it out as LEF....

Hi,

Try to follow 3 steps below:
First add blockage layer for M1,M2,M3 etc onto the part you want to block;
then add pin layer for metal onto I/O signal;
finally you can stream out the LEF file from GDSII!
