I am a VLSI student doing my masters in VLSI & Embedded sys. As a final year student i need to do a project. im searching for internships couldn't find any (operchunity)openings. so i am looking to do my own project.

My idea was to design a EDA tool for FSM (finite state machines). i.e when i give a sequence it should return the state diagram. im familiar with java so my basic question is how are EDA tools designed :!: . what language is used. any basic algorithm, i googled but no information.

plz .provide me information, or any web sites which could help me doing my project ...... :???:

Is It java which is use to develop EDA toola .........?

I don't think there is a bound for a certain Programming Language in EDA Software. You may as well use whatever PL suitable for your needs.

Thanx "hate"
so im femilear with java....il go with it.....
can u plz give me some reference material or links that would be helpful........

Most of the EDA tools support Tcl Scripting.

My Choice C/C++ and Tcl/Tk
