Would someone pls advise how AI (e.g. neural network, fuzzy logic, genetic algorithm, etc) can be applied in power electronics research? Thanks.

hi man
the areas are as follows
1>load forecasting -that is u predict the amount of load on the power house during some peak consuption of power, like new year eve, some festivals etc

2>passive filter design using genetic algorithm

3>harmonics reduction in inverters

4>varius application on PIC controllers etc

thanx

Can you provide more details on the 3rd item? Thanks

suppose we want to reduce 3rd and 7th using genetics algorithm

then we define some function which will be based on the harmonics values of these 3rd and 7th harmonics now we have to minimize this function.
so what we do we have the parameters of the different waves(from which we want to reduce harmonics),which we define initially now we test these wave form for the above function.

and repeat these processes by having new waveform by the crossover and mutation

until we have desired solution
bye

Thanks a lot lovebug. Do you have any article or IEEE paper on the subject you mentioned? I would very much appreciate if you could share some of them with me. Many thanks.

yes ai can be used with power electronics for ex
passive filter design using genetic algorithm

hoever to go in depth u may consult the following texts
Recurrent Neural Networks (Crc Press)

u may cosult the foolwg web pg
