kn value

mos Ids= 0.5 *u *Cox*(w/l) *[(vgs-vt)^2]
some book said 0.5 *u *Cox =>Kp or Kn

how about this value in CMOS process
umc 0.5um = ? 0.35um =? 0.18u = ?
tsmc 0.5u 0.35u 0.18u = ?

thank you

0.5u process tox

u can calculate the values of Kp and Kn by seeing the model file from which u can get Epox and tox and u
just see the model files and for accurate calculations of Kp and Kn look at the spice mathematical models from Rabaey / Taur & ning

cox of 0.35um cmos

Hi !!!

if silicon
Kn=0.5*µn*Cox
Cox=εox/tox

But simulation result of spectre has some differenet.
( I think it's a difference of simulation level)
I think 20% under is very good approach.

Please check attached file.
Now I have not exactly decided correct approach between hand calculation and simulation result.
If anyone knows the method, let me know how to do.

Thanks!!!
