Hello all.
Is there any rudimentary method that I could use to make metalized thru holes.
I'm not talking about just using a rivet or a piece of wire and solder in both sides. What I would like to try is to plate the holes somehow with some conductive painting, lacke, etc.. and then maybe solder it if necessary.
Does anyone of you know of any technique That I could try??????
I have not tried this, but there are PCB repair kits, which contain a conductive liquid, used to fix broken PCB traces. I imagine that if you were to use that stuff in the hole, it would make something similar to a plated through-hole. www.mgchemicals.com/products/8420p.html
I'v seen twenty year old circuit boards with through hole connections done with conductive paint. The paint tended to burn open circuit if there was a fault that caused a few amps to flow through an abnormal path.
