For high voltage programming of microcontrollers,a high voltage should be present only for some time period on MCLR pin so what type of switches can we used on programmer for this purpose?

but i need high voltage only for certain period of time so how i ll be able to set a time period for on and off?

Mercury vapor thyratrons??

Seriously:
With the same software doing all the other programming tasks!
You must be using some kind of software to present the addresses and data to the device being programmed, use one of it's output lines to control a transistor switch for the high voltage and sequence it in the programming software.
