Hi,

I'm having certain automotive high side output application (controlling an evaporator valve) which requires a continuous current of 1.2A, over current shutdown at 1.5A is needed & frequency of switching is 400Hz.(Input is 12V Battery)It also requires to sense the current for overload,open/short conditions..
I was looking for an IC to fit the job...and found some thing like below..

https://cache.freescale.com/files/analog/doc/data_sheet/MC33982.pdf?pspll=1

**broken link removed**

They are mentioning PWM in some of the ICs
But i cant be of sure .how it can be used for a fixed switching of 400Hz...
Can some body have any suggestions or any better solutions..
Thanks for any help
