High side current sense

Hi,

I need a high side current sense to be powered with 40Vdc and has a ratio of 40mV/A with output with respect to ground. It may be with amp op or discrete traansistors.

High side current sense

You can take a look at this TI chip.

https://focus.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/ina195.pdf

It can handle the 40V DC input. You will have to provide a separate supply to operate the chip. This supply must be in the range of 2.7V to 18V. Datasheet has several examples where this supply is +5V.
