rail to rail opamp

Hi all,
I want to design one rail to rail opamp for 3.3V supply with high gain.
Does anybody has a good reference pdf or documnent for me to fallow.
I am planning to use folded cascode first stage. I am designing this for first time.

thanks

Here is a good PDF reference:

I suggest use low cost LMV358 for a newbie's trial design. There's reference circuit on LMV358's datasheet.

Re: rail to rail opamp

Normally rail to rail op amps use a complementary folded cascode as the input stage followed by a class AB output stage.

use google to search "Rail to Rail Amplifier" you can find many papers.

Re: rail to rail opamp

Rail to rail:
differential amplifier with NMOS, current source to the gnd
in parallel with
differential amplifier with PMOS, current source from Vdd

*NMOS diff does not work with small voltages, but PMOS diff can.
*PMOS diff does not work with high voltages, but NMOS diff can.
*In the middle both PMOS and NMOS amplifiers can work, but the gain is higher from previous two possibilities. Some sort of gm control should be added in order to compensate gm dependance from dc point.

Re: rail to rail opamp

Hi.
If you want a very very good paper about rail-to-rail design, I recommend
"A Compact Power-Efficient 3 V CMOS Rail-to-Rail Input/Output Operational Amplifier for VLSI Cell Libraries" , Ron Hogervorst et al , IEEE JSSC 1994
I 'm sure you 'll find some good ideas in it.

EZT

please refer this paper. I think it is useful to you.

hi,who can tell me what is rail-to rail opa,
:(,simply explain it

rail to rail means the input common mode range and the output swing of your opamp are both of full or nearly full supply range, like from Vdd to gnd.

rail to rail opamp

I think the key of the rail2rail is how to control the Gm as constant!! I need some papers that introduce the technology.
