high and low quality factor

hi , is it typically better to use high Q component and not low Q?Resonances may be pushed away of the frequency of interest ??
 

typically higher Q is better than lower Q.
But since high Q calls for larger dimensions and more expensive materials, and the market is pushing smaller and cheap device...so the designers are trying to design circuits free from the Q dependance.
 

well i think it depends on the application. for antennas we need low Q for widening the bandwidth
