Hi
We are using the SN6505 to give the hi side gate drive supply, then just using a simple bootstrap driver to refer the gnd ref'd gate signal up.
Vin to 1/2 bridge is 400Vdc.
Our transformer will be 4:1
We dont want an offTheShelf transfoemer as there will be stocking issues and obselescence issues.

Do you believe we should wind our little pushpull transformer with the primary and secondary wound bifilar , so as to reduce leakage inductance?
Since they are both just low voltage, there should not be inter-winding capacitive problems? (i dont mean pri and sec wound bifilar, but the two pri's done bifilar and the two sec's done bifilar.)

Bifilar winding gives tight coupling between the two wires. It reduces the loop area for leakage flux and helps minimize leakage inductance.
