that is it is the minimum length of the channel it can be fabricated.

these are the minimum gate lengths for the transistors used...
they're the result of scaling for the transistors, following moore's law
so that's why every while you find a new gate length for the transistors, to be able to fit more transistors on a chip, since they have less areas

When we r talking about 180nm or 90 nm or any nm then it means that we r talking about the feature size so 90 nm meter the min size of the length of the transistor in that device is 90nm..
