My mobile model number is LG-Gt40 and it has a 1500mAh battery which came with the mobile itself. The battery died last month and so i purchased a new battery form a shop. But the current rating is 1300mAh. Can i use the battery with my mobile phone or should i purchase a new one of higher rating.

Hi, as long as the nominal voltage is the same (and it will be), the lesser mAHr rating would just cause the battery to last a shorter time than the original. It certainly will not damage the phone.

But, the discharge graph of your lighter battery might not be similar to the original, so the battery might not last for a proprtional amount of time either. As long as you can live with having to charge the battery more frequently, you should have no problems.

Regards.
