Hi guys,
Can some one explain me how to use symmetry planes in HFSS. I'm trying to simplify geometry of some monopole antenna but i'm getting an error about intersections between the boundary box and antenna. Is it possible to design entire antenna and not a half or quater of it to use it ?

Hi kavea,
Here examples full and half monopole antenna with use of XZ symmetric plane and HFSS Antenna Design Kit.

Thank you antp!
So i have to split the design in two parts. Why do you use 2 air boxes ?

Hi, kavea!

Why do you use 2 air boxes ?

HFSS recommends to use simultaneously with Radiation boundary conditions as also virtual object - (airbox), look for: HFSS Online Help> Technical Notes> The HFSS Solution Process> The Mesh Generation Process

The best regards,
