Hi,

Has anyone successfully installed Ansoft HFSS(v15) on any free distro apart from RHEL/SELD ?? I am using opensuse 12.3 assuming that there should not be any issue as it is more close to Suse Linux.
I have successfully installed, but while running it I am getting following error

srk@mmic:/cad/ansoft/hfss15.0/Linux$ ./hfss
### Warning: SuSE Enterprise Linux 12.3 is newer than
all currently-supported versions.

Currently-supported Linux versions include:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 64-bit: Versions v5 and v6
- SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 64-bit: Version 11
/cad/ansoft/hfss15.0/Linux/hfss.exe: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libXext.so.6: undefined symbol: _XGetRequest
srk@mmic:/cad/ansoft/hfss15.0/Linux$

I would be more than happy if some one has solution for this.

Thanks and Regards
SRK

As the message states, this OS is more current than the mostly supported versions.
Try CENTOS and that would work. That is free too.

I have tried on CentOS 5 and HFSS works fine.
