Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing an issue while using HFSS and need some help. I designed a 3D model in Fusion 360 (student version) and am trying to test it in HFSS.

After importing the design, I specified an internal space(vacuum) and ran the simulation. However, it seems that HFSS does not recognize the slots I created in the waveguide at all.
I assigned PEC in what I imported from Fusion 360.

I imported the file as STL. because when I try other formats, I get an error message saying "import native bodies", and the import fails completely.

I've been searching for a solution for days, but I haven't found an answer yet. If anyone is familiar with this issue, I would really appreciate your help!

attched is simulation result.

Thanks in advance!

Your problem may be related to how the STL files are imported into HFSS. STL files only define surfaces using triangular meshes and they do not carry solid information or parametric data like STEP or IGES formats. This can cause HFSS to misinterpret features like internal slots or cavities.
