I am trying to run the Helix.hfss project that was posted on the board previously and the simulation takes a long time. I had to abort it after 2 solid days of processing. I am trying to simulate from 2.4GHz to 2.5GHz. Is it normal for it to take days or am I doing something wrong? Thanks

what is the dimension of your helical antenna.
if it is in the mm /cm range, it should not take long.

did you half way through your design change the units?
what level of accuracy did you set (the delta S).
any mesh refinement??

If your simulation is running into days you probably have done something wrong. Hours to part of a day is more typical on a large PC. Say around 8 Gb RAM and a 64 bit OS. as typical.

8 hours is needed when i simulate a helix at 2.4GHz
