lumped port

Hello,
what is the difference between a Wave Port and a Lumped Port.

I am assigning a dipole antenna at the foot point.

The S-parameter diagram is different when a Lumped Port is used instead of the Wave Port.

What is the reason therefore?
And which way is right?

Regards,
H.

Has somebody an idea?

Hi, i used a lumped port in cosimulation with designer, putting a lumped element like a capacitor or inductor. If you substitute the lumped port with a lumped element (in boundary condition) in hfss the two simulations will be the same. The different is the speed: when you simulate in Designer and you change the value of the inductance or of the capacitor, the simulation is very fast, because the s-parameters are yet memorized. In fact they need to be simulate one time.
