CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT IS THE MEANING OF " FLAT PACK " IN TERMS OF tv REPAIRS. Never heard of this before.

Flat pack is an integrated circuit package style, intended for surface mount applications. It was first introduced int the 1960s as an IC package for military applications. It is similar to the more recent "gull wing" style IC package for surface mount applications. This is the only context in which I have ensountered the phrase
