Help with DMCI MPLABX IDE

I have installed he latest version of MPLABX IDE and evaluating DMCI interface in simulator mode. I am trying to plot sine wave in run time. I have used the example program given by microchip. But the plot does not show up. It only plots integer variables and not float. Any help can be provided?
