I am looking for a design which will convert 24V DC to 110V DC @ 1Amp - 2 Amp output.

The purpose is to light some bulbs rated at 110V DC.

Please tell me which will be the better quality design at lower cost..??

Are they 'normal' bulbs, i.e. do they need DC or could you use AC, which might simplify your design requirements at 100V RMS?

A typical method to step up a DC supply, is to send it through a full H-bridge (which turns it into AC square waves), then to a step-up transformer:

The load is represented as a resistor attached to the secondary winding. To turn the AC waveform into DC, you will attach a full-wave diode bridge. You can also add a smoothing capacitor if needed.
