Help to find a tool like MIPS or unit of measure of C effort

Hi everyone,

is there someone that knows a tool that can have 2 inputs like C code and a uP and 1 output like the MIPS? or some unit of measure of C effort?

1 output like MIPS...I intend a measure of the number of instruction over the time to execute them...In sense of: I must choose a uP having a C-code...so I try to find the uP that execute better my code...

It is not easy to do

have you tried any of the simulators?
It is the simplest way.

PIC offer fast execution you have to check which compiler creates shortest assembly/hex
