how the keyboard work with 8051

hi

i want to interface 104keys keyboard(any like logitech,acer) with microcontroller i want information regarding which microcontroller should be used...
please reply for this.

ps2 at keyboard to spi

The standard PS/2 keyboards are on SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface). I prefer you to use the PIC micro controller. It has a SPI port and the CCS C COMPILER has many libraries on SPI.

interfacing pc keyboard to 8051

for interfacing purpose any microcontroller can be used...
even the atmel 8051 based microcontrollers...at89s51 etc...
the programming can be done either in c or assembly...
using the interrupts and all...
