irig-b to modbus

Anyone has implemented MODBUS TCP? I need know some tips, hardware implement, software implement ... There are any microcontroller that has the state machine for this protocol? An Ethernet module can be used for implement MODBUS TCP? Anyone has documentation about the protocol or suggest any resource? I'm looking for the same information about IRIG-B, software and hardware ... Any help is well.
