help!! car tracking system

hi everyone ..

I need some help in my project. I decided to build a car tracking system using GPS and GSM modems. The GPS, attached to the car, will determine its position and send longitude and latitude to the user in SMS. But my supervisor wants to track the car on google maps on PC.

Any suggestions about how to display the data sent by GSM on google maps or any e-maps else?? how to connect PC with the GSM modem, how to extract information from SMS sent to GSM modem and display it on a map??

I believe you can actually buy a full package which is doing what you describe. Try Googleing GPS car tracking systems..
