can someone please tell me where i can find info about what actual DSP is taking place when my guitar-effects pedal or any guitar-processor in general is at work??

i'd be really glad if you could give me links for some ebook which looks at DSP from a musical point of view or at music from a DSP point of view.. its urgent! please fellas, help me out!
