help needed "which is the best linux distro for eda too

can i know which is the best linux distro which can run all eda tools
please help

you should try fedora 4 64-bit if you're running xeon or amd64 as it's the best distro to run 64-bit eda from synopsys and cadence. as for 32-bit, you might want to use debian as it's the cleanest linux distro. good luck
 

use redhat enterprise editions.
otherwise use redhat 7.2 or 8.
other release linux wont work?

Red Hat Enterprise 3 or Red Hat 7.2

Other releases may work but it may cause some problems that will need some fixing. You can try Fedora for this.
 

I use debian unstable, and run many software on it without any problem.
 

I agree with communicator
Red Hat Linux 7.2 or RHEL 3.0
4.0 for the newest EDA software though
