They say this command performs incremental preroute or postroute synthesis on the current design. The output of this command is a legally placed netlist.
1. Plz explain what is incremental prerout and postroute?
2. wat does this sentence mean "legally placed netlist"?

Plz explain what is incremental prerout and postroute?

Means, that it works on already prerout (placed) or postrout (placed and routed) design. And doing incremental (additional) optimizations.

wat does this sentence mean "legally placed netlist"

Means, that all cells, that it has added (like buffer) or modified (replace one cell with high drive equivalent) or moved are placed accurately on the standard cell rows without any overlap with already placed cells.
