i didnt exactly get your question.. what are ya working on??

spartan3 is fpga board unless i'm badly mistaken and your topic header says assembly programming in C..

is it like you have made a microcontroller in fpga on the spartan and want to program it??

you have to use

hyperterminal or minicom

what os are u using
