Hello friends

I need your help about GSM modem. Before some day i found one project about controlling home appliances using SMS they used GM47 Modem but i cant found that modem in my town .So i want to ask that can i use Modem such like SIM300 or SIM900 instead of GM47?

Communication is take place between micro controller and modem by Tx and Rx so is this possible to replace GM47 by SIM300? or SIM900?

Thanks in advance :-D
