Help me with decoder,multiplexer,encoder,flipflop project

hello genius guys,
i am beginner in the field of electronics.well i am given an assignmnet to make a project whic comprises of "DECODER , multiplexer,encoder, flipflop"

can u guys give me any idea and plz plz send me the circuit diagram too

random number generator that has memory ,
i.e. it saves the number generated then keeps generating several new random number till all numbers from a certain range are chosen (this can be done easily using a microcontroller but may be not that simple using components"
use a push button to select the number that controls a decoder filpping around the ceratian number range use a memory module for saving the output that happened.
encoder can be used for drving a seven segment led "converting binary to Decimal".
