Analyzing TTL-Signals

Hello everyone,

I'm using a the TSL 230 it has an TTL-Signal as Output. I read this TTL-Signal about the Line I Port of my Computer. I have to recognize the human pulse with it. So i build an Ultra-Bright LED over the TSL. But i don't know how to recognize this small Differnces in the Signal. Also the Room light doesn't seems to be very regluar, so i don't now wether the room light is it or my pulse.

Analyzing TTL-Signals

TSL230 is a programmable Light To Frequency converter (based on the specification).

what is human pulse in this case, and what is your way to recognizing it?

i'm just not clear about the project..
