Magstripe reader ???

Hi!
I would like to build a magstripe card reader. I have only found single ended amplifiers on the net but would like to build a differential one to suppress CM-signals. The one I have tried to build gives a signal which's offset is drifting between bits making it very difficult to run it through a comparator. The dutycycle varies too much to decode the datastream properly.

Help?
