Help me to find an argument please

Hallo everybody!
I'm italian so my english isn't very good!

I try to explain you what I want to know...

I must do the engineering's thesis: I thought to do a project about digital signals using Matlab or Simulink and audio file (music). I want to assemble music, signals and software like Matlab...
Can you help me to find a title or an argument about this thing please? What can I do... which experiment in laboratory can I do?
Which project can I develope for my engineering degree?
