I want to design a circuit in which the initial voltage of a capacitor is 3V. I thought I would use a switch which connects the 3V supply to the capacitor until t=0. After t=0 I would open the switch so that the initial voltage across the capacitor is 3V. How to do this in LTSpice? I mean how to create a switch like this in LTSpice? If you have any other idea or way regarding the initial voltage across the capacitor you can tell me.

Thanks in advance.

Hello ivenky
Search "SW" in components .
Good luck

I tried it. But it's having extra two terminals '+' and '-'. What should I connect to that? Besides I want to define that the switch should open at t=0. How should I do that?

Thanks in advance

Re: Switch using LTSpice

You should connect pulse signal to that .
( you can make it for transient time that you want .)
Best Lucks

Initialize the Cap.

Re: Switch using LTSpice

At the same line where you enter the cap value, follow with IC=3

And check "Skip initial point solution"

That's all
