application notes for viper 12 smps

I think the simple circuit for converting 220V to 12 or 6V is with the IC UC3843 (Current-Mode PWM Controller). You can download circuits from the web, its easily available.

Re: simple smps circuit

You can try the NCP1200: Current Mode Controller Fixed Frequency

Code:
http://www.onsemi.com/PowerSolutions/product.do?id=NCP1200

They have an appnote on a charger.

Coilcraft gave me three free samples.I got the 70W with aux winding and the 10W Y8848-AL three of each. They also have the coupled inductors for the 6.5 V, 0.54 A charger. I got my samples in about a week. The appnote for the 6.5 V, 0.54 A charger is here.

Cores are here.

Re: simple smps circuit

A simple solution it’s based on the schematics used to produce a +5V stand by in a ATX power supply .
Anyway now it’s so simple to use one of the ''IC switch power green mode'' series
circuits :
FSDL0365, FSDH321,
VIPer12A, VIPer53,
NCP1050, NCP1051, NCP1000, NCP1001,
FSD210B, FSD200B, FSDM311,
TEA1520, TEA1521, TEA1523,
