help me in this scanner based on the GT6816 chip

help me in this scanner

hi all
i have scanner artec e+48u workes through usb when i connect to
usb gives me unkowen device i have not the installation cd
but i tried many drivers for it but no way i think the firmware not
exist in the chip this scanner based on the GT6816 chip
can i install the firmware trough windows? i made rest to the scanner
and try to install it on another pc and another os no way
i need any idea to solve this problem any document like
Datasheet of the GT6816 chip will help or service idea

Have you checked that the USB VID (Vendor ID) and PID (Product ID) of the scanner are the same of the .INF file?
If not, you can try to modify the .INF file accordingly to your VID and PID: sometimes this is enough to use the scanner device driver.

thanks for reply
but my pc detect any thing connected to usb i can get USB VID from the cd
of my motherboard but all drivers i found in net it is program u set up
i put it in cd and updtae the unkowen device but windows did not updat it
and how i can get Product ID and modify it
please more explanation about this modify or genral example
by the way this scanner production of 2003 and i tried it in many pc.s

You can try to use the utility USBview at the following address:
https://www.ftdichip.com/Resources/Utilities.htm
once you have found the VID and PID of your "unknown" device, try to modify the .INF file of your device driver files.

Just as an help, try to also to check the OEM*.INF files in your
Windows\INF
directory: by default the new .INF files are installed there.

BTW, I think it will be really difficult to help you if you don't describe in a CLEAR and DETAILED way your exact problem.
