hello

i want to implement battery model presented in the schematic. It comes from prof. Mora's article.

It written that i should set the initilal voltage across Ccap to 1V when battery is fully charged.

I set it in the .ic directive, but the Vsoc voltage remains constant during all transient simulation.

It should change during discharging.

How to solve it

regards

Re: battery model

A small question what is the value of the Ccapacity.
What is the discharging current and for how long are transient simulation run.

battery model

Ccapacity is 3060F Discharging current is 850mA and takes 1s, transient simulation takes 100s

Re: battery model

correct me if i am wrong.
if your battery is charged to 3V it has 9060C of charge.
The time it would take for .85A of current to drop the voltage by 1V or supply 3060C of charge would be 3600sec. In 100s the voltage would drop by 28mV.
