Hello Friends

Hello friends i m Chaitanya From India and I m making CNC plasma untitled_1906.jpg cutter so now i m thinking to use IC such as L297 which can give me Full and Half step.
I want to ask u that half step operations is enough for my machine? OR do i need to go at micro steps??

PLZ see attachment as shown i think to use ir2111 IC+ IRFZ44 Mosfet h-bridge to drive stepper so diagram shown is work for my motor(diagram is for only 1 phase)??????

I don't think micro stepping is very useful when you want to move to a specific position and maintain that position using the coils to prevent the motor from rotating.
If you want better accuracy you can use gears to lower the rotation/movement ratio.

You will only confuse people that try to help you with answers to the same question in two different threads.
