HELP how to test a CRYSTAL

I have several 18mhz 2 pin xtals I
wish to test to see if they are working.
I s there an easy way with say just
a multimeter or such

If you have a network analyser, do one port calibration in the required frequency range.
and see the s11 plot with, you can see a dip in the frequency of the cryatal.

Another simple method is to wire an oscillator and chek.
 

just make a ocillator ckt followed by some divider ckt output of this is ready to indicate the crystal is ok
