hi, when I simulate a passive device in ADS using HB simulation and small-signal s-parameter separately to obtain the gain from Port1 to Port2 and found that the results are not the same. P_probe is used to calculate the output power and S(2,1) represents the small-signal s-parameter. Could anyone explain this? why the results are different? thanks in advance.

Because your simulation set-up is completely wrong.
Work on simulation techniques with given examples.
Small Signal s-parameters Analysis is sufficient for passive circuit elements. You drive every port with a source and frequency compositions are falling at each other.Give up HB simulation as you don't know how to utilize..
