Hi everybody,

i've been trying to design a smooth slightly tilted narrowband bandpass filter for a while now (using the AWR Software). I have been able to achieve some good tilts but the tradeoff has always been a very rough magnitude response.

Would be grateful if i could get some tips on how to achieve a smooth slightly tilted magnitude response.
Thanks in advance, Jay

Hi,

This probably isn't quite the answer that you were looking for but back in the seventies there was a paper published by Cristal (I think) with a title something like 'Tables of Impedance Matching Networks With Prescribed Attenuation Against Frequency Slopes'.
If you Google this you may either find it useful or you may find that it points you at something that is.
