Hardware Design Engineer | Our client is a leading producer of cutting-edge technology in the areas of RF processing and Signals Intelligence collection. We are seeking a hands-on Hardware Design Engineer to join a small team of hardware, software and systems engineers designing, implementing and testing complex electronic products.

What You'll Do:
  • Design layouts and schematics of printed circuit boards (PCB's), assemblies and cables.
  • Design and develop prototypes.
  • Develop specifications, identify product defects, generate drawing packages and attend design reviews.
  • Capture schematics and document assemblies.
  • Optimize designs for PCBs and flex circuits for factors such as density, cost, thermal issues, etc.


Must Haves:
  • 2-4 years of PCB design and layout experience for products related to RF and Signal Intelligence.
  • 2+ years experience using Altium Designer.
  • Demonstrate ability in PCB part placement, footprints, gerber files, generating components, maintaining part libraries and designing for easy of manufacturing and test.
  • Experience routing high-speed and low-speed digital signals, analog signals and power and RF signals.
  • Experience routing single-ended and differential pairs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US clearance is required;therefore US citizenship is mandatory.
  • Training or certifications in PCB layout.


Bonus Points:
  • A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Altium Vault.
  • Familiarity with mechanical or systems engineering.
  • Rapid prototype design and production in a small team environment.
