Hardware Design Engineer | Our client is a leading producer of cutting-edge technology in the areas of RF processing and Signals Intelligence collection. We are seeking a hands-on Hardware Design Engineer to join a small team of hardware, software and systems engineers designing, implementing and testing complex electronic products.
What You'll Do:
- Design layouts and schematics of printed circuit boards (PCB's), assemblies and cables.
- Design and develop prototypes.
- Develop specifications, identify product defects, generate drawing packages and attend design reviews.
- Capture schematics and document assemblies.
- Optimize designs for PCBs and flex circuits for factors such as density, cost, thermal issues, etc.
Must Haves:
- 2-4 years of PCB design and layout experience for products related to RF and Signal Intelligence.
- 2+ years experience using Altium Designer.
- Demonstrate ability in PCB part placement, footprints, gerber files, generating components, maintaining part libraries and designing for easy of manufacturing and test.
- Experience routing high-speed and low-speed digital signals, analog signals and power and RF signals.
- Experience routing single-ended and differential pairs.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US clearance is required;therefore US citizenship is mandatory.
- Training or certifications in PCB layout.
Bonus Points:
- A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Altium Vault.
- Familiarity with mechanical or systems engineering.
- Rapid prototype design and production in a small team environment.
